Submitting to Safelists
“When you use a safelist submitter, you can advertise your products, services, or affiliate programs without ever being accused of spamming.” – Tom Dahne
————————————
If you are serious about using safelists, you should sign up for multiple lists.
The more lists, the more likely you will attract targeted leads.
But how can you possibly manage submitting your ads to hundreds of different lists every day?
First of all, when you sign up for these lists, it’s a good idea to use the same user ID and password to make it easy to remember.
If you are using free email accounts, be aware of the list’s rules. Many lists now ban hotmail accounts and other similar accounts.
If you are going to be submitting manually to the lists, set up folders to keep organized. You can create a Daily folder for lists that you can send to every day, and individual folders for each day of the week in which you file the weekly lists that you submit to on separate days.
Consider the time of day you post your emails. You want to figure out what times to post when you will have the most chance of having your emails read. Since many people check their email first thing in the morning, your message may get lost in the crowd.
Try waiting until later in the day, and you may have a greater chance of your email actually being read. The other time people download their email is when they get home from work or before dinner.
Try sending your email a bit later in the evening. The best idea, since you will be dealing with different time zones, is to try sending your ads at different times, and keep track of your responses to see what is most efficient for your needs.
Try to post ads every day. If you are a member of too many lists to post daily, group them and do as many as you can each day. You must post at least once a week per list for your efforts to be effective. Because a lot of people will probably delete your ad before even reading it, the more you send out, the greater your chances of receiving responses.
The best way to submit ads without spending hours and hours on your computer is to use online web based safelist submitters.
A safelist submitter is a program that will automatically post to hundreds of safelists at the same time.
When you use a safelist submitter, you can advertise your products, services, or affiliate programs without ever being accused of spamming.
Your email will only be sent to people who have subscribed to double opt-in safelists. This insures that you are reaching the most targeted market of potential leads available online.
There are many free safelist submitters on the internet just do a search for safelist submitter in your favorite search engine.

List Building – List Building using Safelists and Email Marketing
When using safelists and email marketing for acquiring new
subscribers to build your list, you will find success if you
do it right.
“Doing it right” means that you will need to
use a safelist submitter and not just individual safelists.
Ipostad is a good one to use. That particular service gives
you access to the members of over three thousand (3,000)
safelists total-ling in the millions.
When sending an email advertising your opt-in page, you need
to use the “alternating subjects” feature.
This will allow you to use “set and forget” automation technology
and your subject lines and ads will be randomly rotated by the
computer program to give you fresh and unique subject lines
to capture their attention and interesting ads to provoke
them to sign up to your list.
With only a fraction of your recipients responding, you will still
enjoy many new subscribers to your opt in list through the use
of effective and consistently applied safelist and email marketing.
One of the benefits of safelist and email marketing when used
for list building purposes, is that the subject line and
text ads within the body of the emails that you are sending,
do the job of pre-qualifying your new subscribers much the
way articles do, so that you are getting people to sign up
for your list who are already informed about the basics of
what it is that you are offering.
They are not blindly going in expecting one thing and getting
another, but are already targeted opportunity seekers or prospective
customers who are informed about the subject that you will be
giving them more information or at least interested in learning more
before subscribing, or they would not have opted in.
This means that your subscriber retention rate will be high
and that the number of opt outs you have will be minimized.
These are the benefits of using safelists and email
marketing for list building as well as how to go about it.
Of course, one of the built in and primary benefits of using
the safelists is that those who have opted in to join the
safelists, are usually fellow marketers and online business
people looking for other profitable ventures and also the
obvious fact that with a safelist submitter your reach is
extended and instantly increased to over a million targeted
subscribers that can build your list quickly.

The Facts about Credit Based Safelists
“While safelist advertising is not the most effective form of advertising on the Internet, credit based safelists at least give you a decent chance of making a few sales, as my own experience has shown me.” – Steven Wagenheim
————————————
Safelist advertising is still one of the cheapest ways to promote your business on the Internet. It can also be one of the biggest wastes of time if you bother with safelists that don’t bring results. This article is going to focus on credit based safelists and why, in the long run, they are probably your best choice as far as what kind of safelist to sign up with.
Most safelists revolve around the principal of allowing the member decide whether or not to read their safelist emails, while at the same time allowing them to email to other members as often as the safelist itself allows, whether it be daily, weekly or whatever. The problem with this concept is that most people don’t read their emails and yet expect others to read the emails that they send out. Of course nobody does, and in essence, this makes normal safelist advertising close to worthless. It is because of this reason that credit based safelists were created.
The basic credit based safelist works as follows. The person signs up, whether it be free or paid, and upon signup gets a certain number of credits. The number is usually in the thousands, but greatly varies from safelist to safelist. With these credits, the member is allowed to then send to as many members as he has credits. So if he is given 30,000 credits in his first month, then he is able to send his email ad to 30,000 members total for that time period, whether it be for the day, month or whatever. Once his credits are used up, he can no longer email to anymore members until he earns more credits. And therein lies the beauty of credit based safelists.
There are usually two ways for the member to earn credits. He can either buy credits at whatever the going rate is per credit, or, and this is the more popular option with members, he reads emails from the other members in order to get those credits. The number of credits you earn from each email you get will vary depending on the safelist, but it’s usually a good number of credits so that you don’t have to read anymore than 10 to 20 emails in order to send out your ad to another 1000 members, more or less. This gives people the incentive to read other ads because they know that if they do, they’ll get to send their ads out to more people.
While safelist advertising is not the most effective form of advertising on the Internet, credit based safelists at least give you a decent chance of making a few sales, as my own experience has shown me.
