You can Make Money on MySpace

This article introduces the potential of MySpace marketing.

————————————
If you’re reading this article, you should be making money on the internet. Seriously, if you spend more than one hour a day on the internet and are not making money, you are wasting your time!

Finding a job in real life is almost impossible!

Don’t believe me? Go ahead and open up your local newspaper. (For those of you who only get your news online, you can find newspapers at your local gas and grocery stores.)
Check out the job postings. Chances are, it’s slim pickin’s. You can probably work from home, apply for the fake postal position, or become a loan processor.

Oh, you’re highly qualified in a specialized field? Well sure, that’s a different story! When that one specialized position in your area opens, you quickly fax in your resume. Two weeks later, you do the “follow up” call, even though they’ve never contacted you. The nice secretary thanks you for your call and you wait a few more weeks. Calling again, you’re invited in for an interview… eleven days later. After the interview - of course they loved you - you’re invited back for a follow up interview. But that one’s three weeks later. Now it’s down to you and four other applicants. Two full months pass by until you find out “we really like you but feel our company just doesn’t quite fit your expertise.” Over four months in interview negotiations and you’re telling me it’s easy to find a job?

There are more jobs on the internet than applicants

How is this possible, you ask? affiliate marketing. There are thousands of companies and businesses selling their product, and they’ll pay you to help. So what are you interested in? Your choices are endless: software, clicks, pixel ads, ebooks, money-making systems, pet products, health supplements, even language courses!

The best bet is to choose a product you’re interested in or are passionate about. For example, if you love all things related to Myspace, look for software or ebooks related to it. Each company has its own link for affiliates. Look for the link and follow the directions. Remember, they want to pay you to help sell their product. They will have easy to follow directions to get you started.

The real beauty of it: No experience needed!

It’s true. You need absolutely no experience. The company/product you decide to be an affiliate for will walk you through the steps. Not only do they have a product ready for you to sell, they’ll also offer banners, book covers, and often descriptions of their product for you. All you need to do is follow their directions. These days, most companies will offer guidance for any newbies to selling on the internet. Meaning, if all you’ve ever done on the web is search, click, and purchase, they’ll show you how to be on the other side. That’s right - people will be searching, clicking, and purchasing from you!

Myspace - The Cash Cow

Here, in 2007, you have an offer that the world has never seen before. You have a website with over 100 million people actively involved in it. Now that you’ve got a business online, that translates to you as: 100 million potential customers at your fingertips. Set up a profile that shows what you do while being yourself. Meaning you don’t have to be a salesperson. You just get to show off your newfound internet business.

Ready, Set, Go!

So what are you waiting for?! Find the affiliate program that looks good to you and get going. That money’s on the table and it’s got your name on it!

How to Make Cool Comments on MySpace

This article reveals tips about how to attract more traffic to your MySpace profile - by making cool and creative comments.

Featured Article by Alexis Froehlich

Killer Comments on Myspace Are a Must

Take a look at any of the popular profiles and you’ll notice the comments section has more graphics than words. A lot of times, you just want to “drop by” and say hello to your friend. If you want to get noticed, you’ve got to add cool comments.

Glitter:

If you only have a little to say, glitter graphics are a cute way to go. There are many types out there, they’re usually pink, purple, or blue and often have little hearts that sparkle right next to your letters. You can’t be long winded with glitter graphics though because they lose their charm when they take up most of the comment page. For example, “I can not wait to see you and your new place” is too long, but “C U Soon,” “Thinking of you,” “I love you,” “Love your profile,” and “UR the best” are all fine. Most glitter graphics don’t allow punctuation, so proper grammar isn’t really necessary.

Pictures:

When you have nothing to say but want to say a thousand words, let pictures do the talking. Photos, also known as “pics” and “pix” can either be personal, meaningful ones or copied from the internet.

Your personal pics are usually from a disc, downloaded from your digital camera, or saved off the internet on your hard drive. You need to upload them first. (This means the picture isn’t just on your computer, but is accessible in the internet world.) There are plenty of hosting sites that will allow you to upload for free. ImageShack, PhotoBucket, and Flickr are the most popular choices. Upload the picture and then grab the code for it - usually found near your photo. Copy and paste into the comments box and your Kodak moment is there for all to see!

If you come across a funny picture on the web, either look for the code or right click and save it to your hard drive. Upload it, just like you would a personal photo and paste the code into the comments section. Be sure you observe any copyright laws before posting any pics that aren’t yours.

Videos:

YouTube is the most popular video site, although Yahoo! And Google have a large collection of videos. When you paste the code for the video into the comments section, you’ll see a message telling you the owner of the profile must approve the video first.

Games:

Games are pretty much like videos. A search for “free games for myspace” will give you hundreds of sites that offer what you’re looking for. Your choices for games are pretty much endless too. From old-school Pac Man and Pong to more adult games such as Deal or No Deal, you can be sure to find the perfect game for your friend.

Basic Comment:

Ok, so you really have something to say instead of just “hi!”. Spice it up by adding hearts, stars, etc. Happy faces make a comment more eye-catching too. If you’re still writing the prehistoric :) it’s time to get with the program. They’re called smiley graphics and you can get them anywhere. You’re not limited to a happy face either. These cute little guys come with confused, sad, angry, and embarrassed expressions, just to name a few. Smiley guys also come clothed. Get the rocker, pimped out guy, biker, or cowboy.

If you really have something to say and want to include any of the cool extras, just write above, below, or around the code. That way, you get the best of both worlds.

The few seconds extra time it takes to leave a glammed up comment lets the receiver know they’re important to you. So go ahead and be creative.

Get Noticed - Change Your MySpace Name!

This article exposes several tips and tricks to get additional exposure in MySpace Marketing.

————————————
Featured Article by Matt Sherborne

When you first sign up for a MySpace profile you’ll see that the name you requested during sign up is shown at the top of your profile. As your profile matures or your interests change, you may want to redefine the direction of your profile and change its name.

Your name is practically your MySpace headline and what you select will have an impact on how people view you. Do you want to be known as just “Your Name,” or would you rather select a name that stands out from the crowd and gets people to take notice.

Using a name that represents your favorite interest is a great way to stand out. You’ll also benefit by using a specific keyword or keywords that you would like to represent you. Choosing the right keywords will give you additional exposure in searches throughout Myspace and even in the search engines.

Changing your display name is quite easy. To do so you’ll want to sign in to your profile and click ‘Edit Profile.’ Once you have arrived at the ‘Profile Edit’ page select ‘Name.’ Then type in your new display name. Clicking ‘Save Changes’ and ‘View My Profile,’ will allow you to see how it looks.

To get additional exposure you might want to consider using special symbols like “™” for trademark or “©” for copyright. Using symbols in or after your display name gives it a little more character and helps it to stand out.

Another trick I like to use to get noticed is to change the size of my display name in my CSS. That’s your cascading style sheet which is also known as your “Layout.” When a style sheet is added to your profile it can drastically change its look.

To change the size of your display name in your style sheet you’ll want to locate the .nametext element and make a couple changes. For instance if you would like a larger font you can add this bit of code after the element .nametext. Here’s an example:

.nametext {font-size: 24pt;}

Making this small change will display a larger font size for your name and help it to stand out. When ever you have made any changes make sure you view your profile to see the results. Remember that MySpace only allows up to 50 characters in the display name. Trying to add more will result in a broken word.

Using the above strategy will help you get your personality across in a quick glance and help drive people of the same interests to your profile. After all, you can be whoever you want on MySpace. Would you rather be known as “Superhero Extraordinaire,” or just plain old, “Bob?”
